Is your Environment Fit to BE Victorious?

Do you ever wonder or struggle with not just losing weight but keeping the weight off?  I have and do.  It can be discouraging.  But this time I am starting over again.  Getting healthy and being fit is not about the outward appearance but a commitment to a lifestyle.  This commitment begins internally.

Most of us, when the summer approaches at the end of, Christmas, thinking says, “I gotta get right for the summer time” or “summer time fine is the mission.”  That temporary thinking or thought, does not outwardly manifest a lasting change.  The other side of that coin is being in environment where those around you have poor eating habits, frequenting places that provide no healthy alternatives for food choices or even more, people who encourage you to maintain an unhealthy weight because “you look good that size” or “don’t get ‘too’ skinny.” Ultimately, you begin to manifest what you take in visually and audibly. I believe in order for one to not just lose weight but be healthy, it requires an internal commitment to health, not just for summer esthetics but for living victoriously. The new transformation I am currently on began 6 days ago.

The first phase is 10 days of resetting my palate, breaking food addictions, and cravings.  I began this transformation after I asked myself what happened to the weight I lost earlier this year and what crucified my momentum to walk out this healthy lifestyle?  Most of my answers were internal answers that were reflective of my dominant environment. When I go to my sisters, I order in from LA bite or become the snack monster.  Around my parents a fit and healthy lifestyle is a dream only conceivable to the wealthy.  So I am met with ridicule and critiicism.

And then there is work, where frequent employee engagements lead to over indulgence in food that is far from anything that contributes to a healthy lifestyle.  Does any of this means that I have to indulge?  No.  However, you can’t soar like an eagle hanging out with chickens.  So I had to have a self intervention which said self, “Do you really value your health?  What do you want your daughter to model?”

After, this self talk, what became evident was, “I do not have time to be sick and tired.  God has placed purpose in me where the requirement is that, “I BE fit to BE Victorious!”

In summary, when you find “Your WHY” to being health and being Fit, you will do yourself a justice by creating an environment that best fosters your why to outwardly manifest your goals.  If you want to BE Fit to BE Victorious or you want to BE Fit for your kids, but you don’t quite know what that means or what that may look like, that is o.k.  You define what that lifestyle looks like to you.  Create a vision board and place pictures of what that looks like for you. This will give you a visual for your subconscious. If your neighborhood is consumed with McDonalds and Popeyes, and the neighborhood grocery store has an inferior organic food section, guess what?

You can locate a grocery store that meets YOUR vision.  If you want to live an active lifestyle, go to places where people are active and learn active habits.  Even if you are just observing.  Then get a journal.  Journal your thoughts, feelings, and why’s for your actions for the purpose of identifying where you are and where you are going.  Environments carry mindsets and that yield a particular result or have an expected end.

I think journaling is a great way to stay on course and set your intentions to live a victorious life. After you find “YOUR Why,” Create/Write the Vision, Set your intention and BE fit to BE Victorious!!
